The double, gender ambiguous self-portrait, entitled Portrait
disputes the very assumption of the existence of some ontological
femininity (or masculinity).
Indeed, what this work portrays,
i.e. what the video-photograph here ratifies, is not the
indisputable identity of a particular person, but the representation
regime itself within which identity categories are produced..."
